Keep your POS. Change your marketing.
Most restaurants looking for a SpotHopper alternative aren't unhappy with their POS or their ordering. They want marketing they can price up front and that gets them found on Google. That's why Ser.vi marketing is sold on its own. You keep the POS and online ordering you have, and we run the SEO website, Google Ads, email and SMS campaigns and social media.
What a year costs. At our listed prices, Save & Promote is $2,988 a year, Grow & Retain is $5,388 a year and Inspire & Connect is $8,988 a year. SpotHopper doesn't publish a price, so ask for yours in writing and put the two numbers side by side, along with the term and renewal terms.
Where the orders go. Marketing only pays off if the orders it brings in don't lose 25–30% to a delivery app. If your ordering is already direct, we point your website and Google "Order" buttons at it. If it isn't, Ser.vi online ordering costs the restaurant $0 in commission: the guest pays 5% at checkout. On a $40 order that's $2.00 paid by the guest, against $10–$12 in delivery-app commission on the same order. Delivery, when you offer it, starts at $6.50 plus tip, paid to the delivery provider. Questions restaurants ask
- How much does SpotHopper cost?
- SpotHopper does not publish prices. Its FAQ (spothopperapp.com/faq, read October 27, 2026) answers "How much does SpotHopper cost?" with "flexible pricing designed for independent restaurant owners and multi-location groups" and no figure. Third-party pricing guides and owner reviews put it at roughly $250 to $500 a month for one location, often on a 12-month agreement. Those are reports, not SpotHopper prices, so get the monthly price, the term and the renewal terms in writing before you sign.
- What does SpotHopper do?
- SpotHopper sells restaurant marketing: a website it builds and hosts, SEO, Google Business Profile management, review requests, AI-written social, email and text campaigns, and tools for events, private parties, catering and reservations. It says it "powers over 20,000 restaurants" and "replaces 10+ vendors". It is not a POS; it connects to the POS you already use.
- Can I use Ser.vi marketing without switching my POS or online ordering?
- Yes. Ser.vi marketing plans are sold on their own. You can keep your current POS and online ordering and have us run your SEO website, Google Ads, email and SMS campaigns and social media. If you later want to move ordering too, Ser.vi online ordering is 0% commission to the restaurant (the guest pays 5% at checkout) and the POS software is $0 a month on your existing iPad.
- How much do Ser.vi marketing plans cost?
- They are published on get.ser.vi/pricing: Save & Promote is $249 a month (SMS ordering link, SEO website, Google Ads), Grow & Retain is $449 a month (adds an engagement program, customer data for your marketing, a branded mobile app, retargeting ads and a professional photoshoot), and Inspire & Connect is $749 a month (adds pro social content, review responses, custom email campaigns and a custom SEO website). Social media plans start at $199 a month.
- What does SpotHopper do that Ser.vi does not?
- Reservations and table management, private-party and event inquiries, and catering inquiries, all inside its marketing platform. If those are central to your business, SpotHopper or a dedicated reservations tool may fit better, and you can pair Ser.vi marketing with OpenTable or Resy for bookings.
- What should I check before leaving SpotHopper?
- Read your agreement for the term end date, the renewal and cancellation notice, and who owns the website, domain, content and photos when you leave. Make sure your domain is registered to you, export your email and SMS contact lists, and keep copies of your menus. Then book a Ser.vi demo and bring the agreement so we can plan the switch around your end date.
